When Rorvik forces the temporal jump, Sagan and Lane physically wrestle the cable’s live ends into the bridge’s navigation console, causing sparks to erupt from the terminals. The cable’s taut frame vibrates violently as it channels the overload, straining against the crew’s grip while arcs of raw temporal power dance along its length.
