The Upper Walkway serves as Zanak and Fibuli’s observation post. From its metal grating, they survey the Doctor and Romana, interpreting their movements as either sabotage or espionage. The walkway’s elevation, creaking metal, and long shadow cast authority and threat across the engine room—it is both sightline and pressure point.
