Peri’s wrist restraints, coarse metal bands linked by short chains, tighten around her limp wrists as Sharaz Jek drags her limp body from the quarters. Chains rattle softly, echoing her futile unconscious movements. Though weighty, they offer no resistance to Jek’s muscular grip, becoming symbolic shackles of her temporary defeat.

The metal wrist restraints chafe Peri's wrists as she struggles against Jek's chloroform-induced hold. When she passes out, the chains shift slackly with her limp form, rattling briefly as Jek drags her away. The manacles symbolize her reduced agency and the violence of her abduction.

Peri’s watch serves as the critical timing device enabling the Doctor’s synchronized leap. He clutches it during the jump’s descent into failure, the watch’s cessation becoming the catalyst for his gamble of plunging headlong after Peri despite the temporal fracture.
