Silent Recon: Tabernacle and the Munitions Door

The stacked military supplies function as covert cover and an improvised observation platform. Indy climbs the back of this high stack to gain elevation and concealment, using the piled crates to peer into the cavern without exposing himself to patrols below.

The heavy metal door, stenciled 'DANGER - MUNITIONS', is visually flagged by Indy as a consequential hazard and possible sabotage target. Its presence reframes his reconnaissance—introducing the risk of explosives or stored munitions that could either be used against him or unintentionally trigger catastrophe if disturbed.

The Command Center is the broad arena Indy surveys from the stacks. It houses the Tabernacle tent, towering supply piles, radio racks and logistical clutter; visually and tactically it represents the enemy's consolidated power base and the stage for the Ark ritual and any ensuing confrontation.

The second train-tunnel entrance sits across the court as a potential threat route or escape channel. Indy notes it as a secondary tactical locus — a place where reinforcements, materiel, or an alternative ingress/egress might appear.

The tunnel end is Indy’s point of approach and the immediate concealment he uses to break cover. It frames the threshold from unseen infiltration into the exposed command court, providing a cramped, shadowed route for observation and entry.

The Tabernacle is the ritual locus Indy identifies as the central objective. Its presence in the middle of the cavern focuses his priorities: it is the site to be reached, observed, or disrupted to prevent the Nazi ritual from succeeding.
