Object
Well of Souls — Excavation Pit / Entry Hole
The surface excavation and resulting overhead opening that Indy, Sallah, Omar, and their crew dig to access the Well of Souls. The pit is laboriously carved from sand and earth until it exposes the entry hole at the top of the snake-filled chamber; a rope hangs from the hole’s edge and is used to lower crates, torches, oil, and people into the chamber, turning the same physical aperture into both a dug excavation and the chamber’s entry point.
