A short handful of thin, bundled fiber‑optic cables salvaged from the Hathaway bridge ceiling: translucent sheaths and hairline conductors encased in a frayed braided jacket, with exposed filaments and crudely stripped termini. A few feet long each, flexible yet delicate, they glint faintly when carrying signals. Under extreme pressure Worf tears and snaps lengths, twisting and splicing them to form an improvised routing link used to bypass damaged circuitry.
