Object
Borg Drone Alcoves
Recesses (or slots) embedded in the Borg ship's labyrinthine corridors that house dormant drones during regeneration. These structures serve as both housing for drones and deployment points during system alerts or threats. During the sabotage mission by Shelby's away team (Data, Worf, Beverly), the team triggers the drones, causing them to abandon these alcoves/slots and pursue the intruders. Picard, now Locutus with half his face replaced by machinery and eyes hollowed, emerges from one of these alcoves/slots, turning to face the team in a moment of frozen horror. The term 'alcoves' and 'slots' are used interchangeably in the narrative to describe the same structural feature.
