Containment Forcefield — Wesley Crusher's/Anya's Quarters

A localized, shimmering containment forcefield that snaps into place across the doorway and perimeter of the quarters used by Wesley Crusher and temporarily occupied by Anya. The energy plane hums with a low defensive resonance, carries a faint blue-white tint and a thin visible edge where it meets the bulkhead, resists tampering and repels physical passage, and registers on ship sensors. Activated and monitored by Worf and Enterprise security during the incident in 'The Dauphin', it contains the shifting physiology of Anya and Salia while restricting egress and informing command decisions.

Purpose

To seal and contain the quarters, preventing egress or ingress and holding a potentially dangerous, shape‑shifting individual secure regardless of physical form.

Significance

The barrier converts a private, romantic breach into a formal security action: it enforces Starfleet authority, severs Wesley's intimate connection to Salia, and physically literalizes the story's shift from personal desire to operational containment. The forcefield both protects the crew and catalyzes the moral/tactical decisions that follow (custody, transport, and the deeper implications of identity and duty).
