Holodeck Program: Age of Ascension (Klingon Ritual)
A canonical holodeck program that reconstructs the Klingon Ascension / Age of Ascension ritual environment: layered/rough stone halls, low ceremonial torchlight, ceremonial blades with convincing tactile feedback, braided warrior cloaks, and life‑sized holographic Klingon participants whose faces and vocal intonations register expression and respond to crew cues. The responsive program runs on the ship's holodeck grid with panel interfaces for adjustments; Geordi, Data, and Wesley manipulate and authorize it while Worf reacts viscerally, treating the projections as real. The simulation is used to observe, participate in, or reconstruct the ceremony for cultural, therapeutic, and investigative purposes and functions as the narrative catalyst for Worf’s crisis and the crew’s chosen‑family response.

Purpose
To recreate Klingon participants and a ceremonial environment as functional stand‑ins so the crew can perform and complete a cultural rite (the Klingon Age of Ascension) within the holodeck.
Significance
Functions as the emotional linchpin of the scene: the simulated Klingons enable Worf's cultural needs to be honored and transform a technical engine crisis into an act of chosen‑family solidarity. The program reframes problem solving as cultural care and catalyzes character bonding and identity affirmation.
