Zoey Bartlet's Class Textbooks (Intro to Cinema; 19th Century Studies)

A small stack of academic textbooks — mixed paperbacks and clothbound hardcovers roughly 8–10 inches tall — with scuffed corners, pencilled margin notes, and a few sticky flags protruding from chapters. University-press titles (one on cinema studies, one on nineteenth-century literature) show student wear: softened spines, a faint coffee ring, and a taped page corner. Zoey carries them into the Oval, clutches them as a personal talisman, and Jed Bartlet briefly returns them to her hand; other characters glance at the covers as an ordinary life fragment inserted into an extraordinary workplace.
