The corridor unfolds in stark geometric precision, walls lined with angled segments of dark stone that absorb rather than reflect light, creating a claustrophobic chill despite the enclosed space. The floor is seamless polished obsidian, reflecting the dim glow of embedded strips of mineral that pulse faintly with an unnatural amber hue. Air hums with latent energy, as if the very stones resonate with ritual intent. At regular intervals, low platforms protrude from the walls—altars or stations for observation—each marked with the same sigil emblazoned on Soldeed’s staff. Shadows cling to the edges of the corridor, densest near junctions where unseen passages dim into darkness, and the silence presses in, broken only by the measured cadence of Soldeed’s steps and the distant, resonant chanting of unseen acolytes.
