Fort Crew Room Upper Deck

The upper deck of the fort's crew room (Sea Fort Crew Room) is a cramped, utilitarian space exposed to the open sea air, connected to the lower crew quarters via narrow metal stairs. The wooden planks of the deck creak under weight and groan against the press of wind coming through unsealed hatches. Emergency lanterns swing from exposed beams, casting long, shifting shadows over the open stairwell. The steel railings are cold and damp to the touch, coated in salt and rust. This deck serves as a final vantage point and escape route before the unseen threat below claims another victim. Hickman charges upward through this space, flare gun in hand, his breath ragged and audible in the confined area.
