Professor Chronotis' Kitchen

A narrow galley kitchen wedged between the cluttered study and the antique TARDIS console, barely wide enough for one person to turn. The air carries the musty scent of old tea and burnt toast, clinging to greasy walls where the faded white paint blisters under decades of heat and neglect. A single flickering bulb dangles above a stove bearing blackened coils, its drip pans long since abandoned to rust. Shallow shelves groan under chipped mugs and rusted tins of dubious provenance, none of which could have held food safely in this century. The lino floor splits into brittle red cracks that fork toward a porcelain sink perpetually streaked with brown stains from the dripping tap. The kettle still shrieks on its own schedule, a reflex Chronotis learned to ignore years ago.
