Yacht Forecastle

A cramped wooden compartment in the bow of a yacht, serving as both living quarters and gathering space for crew. The space is defined by its low ceiling and reinforced hull, trapping stale air scented with salt, tobacco smoke, and spilled beer. A single oil-smeared bulb casts weak light across a scarred mess table where a half-empty bottle of rum shares space with grease-slick playing cards. Narrow bunk cupboards line the walls, their contents hidden in the dim light, while brass-riveted lockers rattle with each wave. The atmosphere is thick with unease, amplified when the Doctor bends through the low doorway, his presence making the confined space feel even tighter.
