Shrine Side Room

A narrow secondary chamber attached to the larger shrine space, its whitewashed walls pressed close by the weight of ancient ritual. Sunlight from the main hall angles through a single unglazed window, cutting pale bars across stacked folded linens and the rough-hewn wooden pew where the Second Doctor is chained to its backrest. The irregular stone floor slopes gently toward a floor drain that carries the metallic reek of old blood and the acrid sting of overheated circuitry from the adjoining experiment. A low workbench against the far wall holds scattered vials of violet liquid and a chalked circle barely wide enough for two Time Lords to stand without touching elbows. The air thickens with the scent of ozone and the damp wool of wool tartan as Jamie shoulder-barges through the door, his highland boots scuffing splinters from the threshold.
