Concord Cockpit

A compact, instrument-laden control space at the front of the grounded Concorde, its curved windscreen smudged with streaks of rain and scorch marks from emergency landings. The angled console bristles with analog dials and retro toggle switches, their aged brass fittings clashing against digital readouts scavenged from newer systems. Stapley’s boots thud against the metal deck plates as he slides into the left pilot’s seat, its cracked upholstery barely cushioning the weight of command. Beyond the cockpit door, the cargo hold’s massive doors groan under atmospheric pressure, their seals hissing as the TARDIS’s temporal field interacts uneasily with Earth-normal air. The air smells of ozone and burnt wiring—each breath tasting the Concorde’s struggle against gravity, time, and desperate repairs.
