Throne Dais Surveillance Alcove

A narrow, shadowed recess carved into the base of the throne dais, designed to monitor the ceremonial space without intruding on its grandeur. The alcove’s depth offers concealment from the temple’s torchlight, its walls lined with rough stone that deadens sound beneath the din of Mandragora’s ritual chants. Low benches along the sides hold folded robes and discarded ceremonial implements, their fibers stiff with age. The air here is cooler, carrying the scent of damp stone and old incense that lingers beneath the temple’s heavy drapes. A single ventilation slit allows the Doctor to breathe as he crouches, his back pressed against the cold surface while his fingers work to disable the surveillance wire by wire.
