Cold air presses inward from no visible source, carrying the faint metallic tang of dimensional breach and the dry, ancient scent of compressed history. A long, narrow stone bench runs beneath arched windows that reflect no outside sky, only a fractured aurora pulsing with colors unseen in nature. The floor’s flagstones shift subtly, as though the entire space breathes in time with the ship’s failing systems. At the far end, a doorway yawns open into deeper shadows where even the air feels heavier, as if the gallery itself is a corridor between collapsing dimensions.
