Concourse

A sprawling subterranean thoroughfare lit by flickering torches mounted in blackened iron sconces, its stone floor absorbing the echoes of footsteps and distant shouts, beaten smooth by generations of pilgrims and thieves. The air carries the scent of burning fat, damp leather, and the faint metallic tang of old coins, thickened by the warmth of bodies crowded into the narrow passage. Narrow alleys branch off like veins into chambered caves where black market stalls huddle under frayed awnings. Crude braziers cast long shadows over merchants haggling over stolen relics, their voices bouncing off rough granite walls still bearing the scars of ancient fires. This space is both ancient and transient, a place where desperate deals are made and violent confrontations flare without warning. Though not depicted as a rendezvous point here, the Concourse is established as the planned contingency meeting place for Unstoffe and Garron should their plan collapse in the caves above.
