Main Deck of the Wurrfler

Indy pulls himself aboard the Wurrfler's main deck after swimming through dark Mediterranean waves from the Bantu Wind. Salt spray coats the steel gratings under night sky as distant gunfire fades. The submarine submerges; cold seawater floods to knee depth, sloshing with each lurch. He struggles forward over slippery surfaces amid hull groans and mounting ocean pressure, waves crashing over railings.
