Object
Leeson's Weapon
Leeson's weapon is a firearm wielded to confront intruders and threats on Uxarieus. Initially described as a rifle, it is first leveled from the shadows at the Doctor and Jo near the TARDIS, then grabbed inside the dome to face a monstrous iguana outside. The weapon embodies the colony's armed paranoia, as its barrel is trained steadily in tense standoffs that expose hidden surveillance and escalate survival threats amid failing crops and alien dangers. Later, Leeson grabs the weapon again after the iguana appears outside the dome, readying it against the growing threat. Jane also reaches for the same weapon during the breach, but the attacker strikes her before she can grasp it. The weapon remains unused in the final chaos, its barrels pointed toward the intrusion point. The Doctor disarms Leeson of this weapon using Venusian karate, highlighting its role in the colonists' initial show of force and the fragility of their authority.
