Ten-Forward Panoramic Observation Window

A continuous run of floor-to-ceiling reinforced viewplate panes set into Ten-Forward's outer wall, with a low interior sill and slim duranium rim. The seamless glass presents an uninterrupted vista of deep space, picking up faint reflections of room lighting and the faces of those who press close. Patrons lean on the sill or peer through the pane; Guinan sidles up beside Worf at the rim, and both register external phenomena through its clear surface. During the events described the pane remains intact while a jagged, color-churning temporal rift and a coalescing ship appear beyond it, the window serving as the immediate conduit for the spectacle and the crew's visible alarm.

Purpose

Provide an unobstructed view of deep space for Ten-Forward patrons and to admit exterior visual information into the lounge.

Significance

Functions as the narrative fulcrum that converts an intimate character beat into crisis: the pane frames the temporal rift and the coalescing, battered vessel, catalyzing Guinan's primal alarm, summoning Worf to the bridge, and turning private companionship into a ship-wide moral and temporal emergency.
