Morgaine's Cavalry Shields

Battle-worn wooden shields reinforced with iron bands, carried by Morgaine’s cavalry in the final assault on the dig site. Their surfaces bear the marks of many campaigns—scratches from spear tips, dents from arrows, and streaks of dried mud from Arthurian battlegrounds. The troops lock their shields in formation, presenting a solid wall of layered timber and metal as they charge down the slope toward the defenders. The shields absorb the brunt of the collision, driving the clash into close-quarters desperation where honor and steel decide the outcome.
