Doctor bars door and reveals TARDIS fail-safe

The Doctor seizes a sturdy metal-framed sitting chair carried into the corridor, planting it diagonally across the doorframe with a metallic screech. The chair’s frame vibrates under repeated impacts from outside as it transforms from a piece of furniture into an impromptu barricade, its legs digging into the deck plating to resist all forced entries.

Before: A standard TARDIS-chair, carried from the console room and left in the corridor, its tubular frame cool and untested.

After: A compromised barricade, its scuffed light gray paint worn further and its legs deeply scored by metal deck contact, still holding against repeated assaults.

Doctor saves Brigadier from silver hand

The Second Doctor wrenches a rough metal bar from detritus beside the quarry wall and swings it against the silver hand in brutal, rhythmic strokes. Each impact sends sparks showering and recoils the spectral limb a fraction, weakening its grip until the Brigadier is freed.

Before: A discarded piece of equipment lying unused in the desolate quarry, heavy and irregular with worn serrations.

After: Still intact but smeared with streaks of silver residue from the hand’s ethereal surface; abandoned amid the chase as the Doctor and Brigadier flee the curling mist.
