Mel’s crash and Ikona’s rapid intervention

The ridged metallic boss embedded in the hull becomes the fulcrum of survival for both Mel and the vessel. Ikona grips this control, twisting it to activate hydraulic clamps that clamp down on the fractured plating. The boss’s etched glyphs catch shifting light as her efforts visibly tighten the weakened structure, slowing decompression and collapse.

Before: Part of the hull’s stabilization system, unused and concealed until impact.

After: Activated and manipulated, its mechanical purpose visibly functioning to save the hull from catastrophic failure.
