The large curved claw extends from the Reptilian’s foreleg into the immediate darkness, slicing through air before embedding high into Stimson’s chest with a wet crunch. The claw’s blackish hue and serrated edge glisten briefly in the gloom before retracting just as abruptly, leaving Stimson slumped against the ventilation grille, his last breath lost in the stale ozone air.
