Doctor’s Penknife

A compact blade with a worn wooden handle and dulled edge, drawn from the Doctor's pocket as the Swampies close. Its worn grip fits his palm as he slices through the still-twitching ritual creepers binding Romana and Rohm-Dutt, the only tool precise enough to sever the wet plant fibers close to their wrists without injury. The penknife’s utilitarian form bears years of service—paring reeds into instruments, slicing restraints in desperate moments, and now serving a final practical purpose before a headlong escape into the storm-lashed swamp.
