The pike’s shaft is rough-hewn, its metal head darkened by age and frequent use. When a Gundan robot’s axe strikes, it fractures with a sharp crack, forcing the Doctor to abandon concealment and rely on wit instead of brute force. The broken remnant drops to the floor, a discarded tool in a deception now unraveling.

Doctor hides in armor to outwit Gundan

The Doctor holds the pike while standing still to maintain his disguise among the suits of armor. The Gundan robot's axe strikes and shatters the wooden shaft with a single blow, forcing the Doctor to abandon the weapon and his concealment.

Before: The pike is held by the Doctor in a rigid, still pose to blend with the suits of armor in the Great Hall.
