The punch cards form a disarrayed carpet across the TARDIS floor, their perforated edges and curled surfaces evidence of previous temporal navigation errors. The Doctor’s pacing leaves faint footprints in the cards as he halts, kicking at a pile in frustration, before mentally discarding them as mere discardable aids in favor of a grander solution.
