Doctor hides vital note from pharmacist arrival

The Forged Chronicle Volume, a leather-bound book delivered to the Doctor by Nyssa and Tegan, is examined while the Doctor lies recovering. As he flips through its brittle pages, he discovers a loose, yellowed slip of notepaper secreted within its spine, hidden intentionally to evade detection.

Before: Located on the bed near the Doctor, intact but undisturbed, one of many books brought to assist his recovery. Its internal pages contained a clandestine message.
After: The book remains on the bed, now momentarily abandoned as the Doctor’s attention shifts to concealing the note in his coat. Its hidden contents have been partially exposed.
