Jago's Lantern
A heavy brass lantern with a cracked glass chimney, its flickering flame casting long, exaggerated shadows across the theatre cellar's damp stone walls. Jago carries it by a sturdy iron handle, swinging the light low to the floor as he and Casey descend into the narrow passage. The brass shows signs of age but is well-maintained, its reflective interior dulled by time and soot. Later, during the river escape, it becomes a critical tool for navigation and investigation amid the Thames's treacherous murk.
