Tall Yew Hedges of Powis Castle
The dense yew hedges form a six-foot-tall barrier of dark green foliage, their twisted trunks and untrimmed growth creating a living corridor. Their fibrous branches resist brushing contact, parting only grudgingly as characters move between them. The ancient hedges’ stout trunks bear the marks of decades of pruning, their moss-matted cuts revealing their age as they channel characters toward moments of ambush and misdirection.
