Ratcliffe’s failed attempt to claim the Hand

Ratcliffe wrenches the metal bar from a nearby grave’s earth and uses it as a crude tool to pry open the Hand of Omega’s socket. The bar’s improvised insertion triggers the artifact’s latent electrical defense, sending a surge through the metal and into Ratcliffe, catapulting him away.

Before: A discarded iron bar lying half-buried in damp soil beside an excavated grave, its rusted surface undistinguished among grave goods.

After: The bar remains lodged in the Omega grave’s mechanism, charged with residual energy, now a literal conductor of the artifact’s defiance.
