Stolen San Martino Horse

A sturdy, dark-coated horse used by Count Federico’s pursuit riders, its leather reins groaning under the Doctor’s sudden grip as he wrests control mid-gallop. The horse’s powerful muscles bunch beneath the Doctor’s desperate attempt to break from Federico’s execution squad, its hooves kicking up cobbles in the town square as it becomes an unwilling instrument of escape. By the time it reaches the city’s tighter alleys, the animal bucks violently when the Doctor abandons it, leaving the rider clinging to its mane before it bolts under gunfire, its dark shape vanishing into San Martino’s maze of medieval stairs and narrow passages.

The Doctor vaulted onto the back of a ready-mounted horse already carrying a rider, shoved the rider aside, and took control of the animal mid-motion. The horse became a means of rapid transit through the town square’s cobbled expanse and into the maze of narrow medieval passages.
