Its seams groan apart mechanically, revealing an interior chamber pulsing with frigid light and dry ice. The monument functions as a dimensional containment seal which fractures under unknown forces, releasing the antimatter predator before resealing with finality.

Before: Weathered stone slab arrayed with pagan glyphs, inert and apparently original to the crypt

After: Fractured along ritual seams, temporarily unsealed, resealed and inert once again
