The pump chamber pipe is ruptured by Kroll’s tentacle, transmitting the creature’s motion through refinery infrastructure and into the control centre entrance area. This ruptured pipe acts as both a physical conduit for Kroll’s presence and a symbolic breach of human control over the swamp environment, allowing the monster’s reality to intrude into the heart of colonial technology.
