Loungers by the Pool

Two wide, cushioned loungers sit side by side on the deck overlooking the Pool in the Sky, their fabric damp where water from wet swimsuits has seeped through. The teal vinyl holds the last traces of sunlight, now fading as clouds gather behind the Cleaner’s unwelcome intrusion. The loungers face the water but can swivel to follow conversation, their metal frames whispering against the deck when adjusted by restless hands.
