The transmat point ceases to be a mysterious room feature and becomes the Zeons' weaponized conduit for kidnapping Astra and the Doctor. Its activation underpins Romana's deduction, transforming it from an anomalous environment into a symbol of the Zeons' superior technology. The panel’s alien hum and energy signatures, though unseen, are deduced as the mechanism behind their abduction.
