A standard-issue police vehicle marked for the local constabulary, used to transport the Doctor and Adric under the guise of detention. The car is an unremarkable sedan, painted in the institutional white with blue stripes of the local force, equipped with a roof-mounted light bar and a cage-style partition separating prisoners from the front seats. Its presence is the physical enforcer of authority, yet it becomes an unwitting pawn in the Doctor’s deception.

Doctor manoeuvres to evade capture and TARDIS access

The local police patrol car serves as the expected conveyance for detaining the Doctor. Its cage-style partition and institutional branding create a false sense of security for both the detainee and pursuers. The Doctor enters willingly, feigning compliance, but instead of traveling to the station, the car becomes a temporary foil in the deception. The Detective’s authority is channeled into an institutionally sanctioned path, only for that path to vanish.

Before: Stationary on the lay-by, engine off, with the Doctor and Detective preparing to enter for transport to the station.

After: Abandoned once the Detective realizes the deception; serves as a temporary symbol of captured control giving way to cosmic chaos.
