Bundle of Dynamite

A tightly bound bundle of industrial explosives tied with rough brown twine, visibly aged with frayed ends and darkened by handling. The sticks of dynamite press against each other, their yellowish wrappers stained with oil and dirt. Pex snatches it from the Caretaker during the struggle, gripping it with both hands as he head-butts the man back into the Fire Escape, triggering the building’s hidden explosives in a catastrophic eruption of red dust and collapsing masonry.

Doctor baits Kroagnon as plan nears execution

The bundle of dynamite is wielded as a weapon and trap trigger during the confrontation. Kroagnon takes it from Pex, who later snatches it back and uses it to headbutt the Caretaker, sending both tumbling into Red Kang Headquarters and triggering the explosion that levels the entrance and corridor.

Before: Secured within the rebel trap near Red Kang Headquarters, in Pex's possession and prepared for use as the final countermeasure against Kroagnon.
After: Detonated in the explosion, triggering the collapse of the Headquarters entrance and corridor, effectively destroying the immediate Cleaner threat and breaching the rebels' stronghold.

Doctor provokes Kroagnon at Red Kang HQ

The bundle of dynamite is snatched from the Deputy Caretaker by the Chief Caretaker during the struggle, then wrested by Pex who head-butts the Caretaker back into Red Kang Headquarters with it. The impact triggers the tripwires, detonating the explosives in a massive structural collapse that seals both combatants inside.

Before: Secured and in the Deputy Caretaker's possession as part of the rebels' trap plan.
After: Detonated in an explosion that destroys part of the Headquarters exterior and traps the Caretaker and Pex within the collapsing structure.
