Mandrels

The mandrels are small, agitated extraterrestrial creatures whose containment collapses when Dymond’s shuttle disturbs the Hecate’s hangar bay. Three of the creatures surge past disrupted containment lines during a covert investigation, killing a crewman in seconds. Their violent movement exposes Tryst’s smuggling operation and forces the Doctor and Romana to abandon stealth to address the crisis directly.
