Description

Engineering Section functions as the Enterprise's hands-on technical response unit charged with preserving system integrity, executing damage control, and conducting contamination remediation. When the bridge detects a hull‑eating organism, command alerts Engineering Section to mobilize repair crews, diagnostic routines, and cleansing protocols. Reporting to bridge command, it coordinates with Science and other departments to restore structural integrity, decontaminate affected zones, and sustain shipboard operational readiness during biological or material crises.
