Image of the Fendahl Part 4
The Doctor and his companions must stop the Fendahl, a powerful entity created from human energy, from completing its formation and wreaking havoc on the planet.
The Doctor, Leela, and their companions, Tyler and his grandmother Martha, investigate the mysterious Fendahl entity, which is terrorizing a rural community near an ancient priory. They soon discover that the Fendahl is not a single creature but a gestalt formed from multiple Fendahleen, which are themselves transformations of human beings under the influence of an alien energy field generated by a skull. The entity's power grows as it absorbs life energy, and its completion threatens to unleash a catastrophic force on the planet. The Doctor and his friends navigate through treacherous supernatural events, confronting the Fendahleen and the evolving Fendahl, to prevent the entity's completion and destruction of the world. They use rock salt to kill the Fendahleen and devise a plan to destroy the Fendahl by capturing the skull and triggering a controlled implosion. The plan succeeds, but not before several close calls and the sacrifice of some characters. Ultimately, the Doctor and Leela escape, and the Fendahl's threat is neutralized.

The narrative beats that drive the story
The Doctor, Leela, and Tyler face a Fendahleen outside Fendelman's lab, which uses psychotelekinetic control to paralyze them. The Doctor uses a rock salt-loaded shotgun to repel it, allowing their escape. Inside the chapel, Thea transforms into a golden Fendahl core, causing Ted Moss to become a mini-Fendahleen. The Doctor and Leela enter the chapel, rescue Colby, but Stael, having seen the golden woman's eyes, requests a gun and takes his own life. The group confirms rock salt's effectiveness against Fendahleen. Back in Fendelman's lab, the Doctor explains the Fendahl is a gestalt, an incomplete entity composed of twelve Fendahleen and a core (Thea). With two Fendahleen already neutralized, the Fendahl is not yet complete, offering a chance to stop it. The Doctor dispatches Martha to gather more salt and sends Tyler and Leela to guard the corridor. Leela, confronting the golden woman and a giant Fendahleen, uses Tyler's shotgun to kill the Fendahleen, demonstrating precise marksmanship and confirming the weapon's utility against the creatures.

The Doctor reveals his plan: Colby will activate a scanner beam in the lab for two minutes to confuse the Fendahleen in the chapel, allowing the Doctor and Leela to retrieve the skull. Three minutes after Colby switches off the scanner, the lab will undergo a controlled implosion, destroying the priory and the Fendahl. Leela kisses Colby goodbye, and they depart for the cellar. The Doctor briefly re-enters, emphasizing the three-minute countdown. Colby activates the scanner. In the smoke-filled chapel, the Doctor and Leela throw salt flasks to distract a Fendahleen.
