As the Captain of the Guard and his men arrive to begin their day, they initiate the lowering of the door separating the pen from the Jewel Room, further stirring the Shrivenzale. The Doctor remains engrossed in his task, unaware of Romana's perilous situation, as multiple factions' plans converge in a moment of escalating danger.
