The Visitation Part 3

The Doctor and his companions must stop the Terileptils, alien fugitives who plan to use the TARDIS to annihilate the inhabitants of a planet, while navigating the complex web of control and deception.

The Doctor, Mace, and their companions find themselves in a village where a group of Terileptils, led by a cunning leader, are using mind control bracelets to manipulate the villagers. The Terileptils plan to use the TARDIS to deliver a deadly virus to the planet's population. As the Doctor and Mace try to escape and thwart the Terileptils' plans, they must also navigate the complex dynamics between the villagers, the android, and the Terileptils. Meanwhile, Adric and Nyssa, who are outside the village, try to find a way to rescue their friends and stop the Terileptils. The story unfolds with a series of tense confrontations, clever deceptions, and narrow escapes as the Doctor and his companions fight to prevent a catastrophe.

Act 1

The narrative opens with the Doctor and Mace in immediate peril, captured by villagers who, under the subtle mind control of their Headman, intend to imprison them. This control is soon revealed through a green bracelet on the Headman's wrist, indicating a deeper, unseen influence. Concurrently, Tegan falls victim to the Terileptil Leader, who fits her with a similar control bracelet and assigns her to pack vials, solidifying the antagonists' early dominance. Adric, having narrowly escaped, returns to the TARDIS to relay Tegan's capture to Nyssa, initiating a tense debate about immediate action versus waiting for the Doctor. Recognizing the source of the Headman's unusual behavior, the Doctor and Mace execute a daring maneuver, disabling the control bracelets on both the Headman and the Poacher. This act of temporary liberation, however, inadvertently escalates their predicament; the now-uncontrolled villagers, disoriented and fearful, misinterpret the situation, branding the Doctor and Mace as "warlocks" and preparing to burn them. The Terileptil Leader, alerted to the disruption of his control, dispatches his formidable android to retrieve the renegades. The act culminates in a dramatic confrontation as the android, cloaked in a "Death" disguise, smashes through the harness room wall, re-capturing the Doctor and Mace and scattering the terrified villagers, unequivocally establishing the Terileptils' direct and overwhelming power.

Act 2

Following their re-capture, the android escorts the Doctor and Mace to the Terileptil Leader's hidden control room. The Leader dramatically deactivates a holographic wall, revealing his true reptilian form to a visibly shocked Mace. The Doctor, attempting to de-escalate the situation, offers to help the Terileptils return to their home planet. However, the Leader, a hardened fugitive from the tinclavic mines of Raaga, vehemently rejects this proposition, explaining that only a death sentence awaits him there. Instead, he unveils his horrifying, genocidal objective: the complete annihilation of the planet's current inhabitants, whom he contemptuously dismisses as "primitive," planning to use a deadly virus and the TARDIS to achieve his aims. Mace, enraged by the Leader's declaration of mass murder, confronts him directly, but the Leader effortlessly subdues him with the android's help, then fits Mace with a control bracelet, further consolidating his power and diminishing the protagonists' capacity for resistance. Simultaneously, Adric, consumed by worry for Tegan and the Doctor and frustrated by Nyssa's cautious approach, defiantly leaves the TARDIS against her explicit warnings. His impulsive search for his friends quickly leads to his capture by the villagers, who are still agitated and confused. Nyssa, now isolated within the TARDIS, watches helplessly as Adric's capture unfolds on the scanner, marking a significant setback for the companions.

Act 3

The narrative shifts to a critical juncture as the Terileptil Leader systematically neutralizes the remaining protagonists, solidifying his control and advancing his genocidal agenda. Nyssa, now completely isolated within the TARDIS, reacts with frustration and helplessness, kicking the "sonic booster" as she grapples with the unfolding events, having just witnessed Adric's capture. The Doctor, having been led to a cell, is swiftly manacled and imprisoned by the android, effectively rendering him powerless and removing his ability to intervene directly. The Leader, now with all his primary adversaries contained or controlled, confidently continues his final preparations for the virus deployment. He directs his controlled pawns, Tegan and Mace, to meticulously pack boxes of vials onto a miller's cart, showcasing the efficiency of his mind-control technology. The Leader himself is seen preparing a vial with a hypodermic device, underscoring the imminent threat. This act culminates with the Terileptil Leader in complete command, his plan for planetary destruction on the verge of execution, while the Doctor, Mace, Tegan, and Adric are all either captured, controlled, or isolated, leaving them in a seemingly insurmountable predicament. The narrative ends with the antagonist holding all the cards, poised to unleash catastrophe.
