The Doctor and his companions come up with a plan to immobilize the Cleaners and trap Kroagnon. Pex decides to go to Kroagnon's headquarters to lure him out, while the Doctor and others prepare a trap. The plan involves using explosives to disable the Cleaners and creating a diversion to draw Kroagnon out of his safe zone. Act 1

Kroagnon, having possessed the Chief Caretaker, asserts control over Paradise Towers from the basement, declaring his intent to cleanse the building of all living flesh. The Doctor and the Blue Kang leader escape a Cleaner, with the Doctor explaining Kroagnon's "corpoelectroscopy" and the imminent danger. He emphasizes the urgent need to unite all Kangs. Meanwhile, Mel enjoys the Pool in the Sky, only to be attacked by a Cleaner. Pex, initially hesitant, watches as Mel resourcefully seizes his gun and destroys the Cleaner, highlighting her bravery and Pex's initial cowardice. The Deputy Caretaker, recognizing the possessed Chief, activates emergency protocols and flees to warn others. The Doctor, having gathered the Red and Blue Kangs at the Pool, is joined by Maddy, a Rezzie leader, who arrives seeking help and admitting past misdeeds, signaling a potential shift in the residents' isolated existence. The Deputy Caretaker arrives, confirming Kroagnon's secure position in his headquarters. The Doctor quickly devises a preliminary plan to dislodge Kroagnon, and the Deputy reveals a secret cache of explosives. This revelation galvanizes the disparate groups, leading to an unprecedented agreement among the Kangs, Rezzies, and Caretakers to collaborate, first on immobilizing the Cleaners, then on trapping Kroagnon. This act establishes Kroagnon's threat, the initial disunity of the inhabitants, and the formation of a fragile but essential alliance under the Doctor's guidance, setting the stage for direct confrontation.

Act 2

Kroagnon, ensconced in the Caretaker Headquarters, confidently monitors the Towers, oblivious to the burgeoning alliance against him. The Doctor elaborates on the two-pronged plan: first, use the newly discovered explosives to disable the Cleaners, and second, lure Kroagnon from his secure lair into a prepared trap. Recognizing Kroagnon's immense pride, the Doctor proposes to act as bait, presenting himself as an intellectual equal. However, a second individual must undertake the perilous task of leading Kroagnon directly into the trap. Pex, despite a history of being labeled a "cowardly cutlet" by the Kangs, volunteers for this dangerous mission, marking a significant turning point in his character arc. The Doctor records a provocative message, challenging Kroagnon's architectural prowess, designed to draw him out. The alliance's initial success is demonstrated as Maddy and other Rezzies use tablecloths to temporarily incapacitate a Cleaner, allowing the Blue Kang to destroy it. Mel gives Pex a Kang bracelet, a symbol of acceptance and newfound respect, before Pex departs with dynamite, ready to execute his part of the plan. Pex, feigning cooperation, approaches Kroagnon, leading him and two Cleaners towards the Doctor's trap. However, Pex's haste, driven by a desire to prove himself, nearly compromises the entire operation, as Bin Liner warns Mel and the Doctor that Kroagnon is approaching too quickly. The Doctor, realizing the imminent danger, attempts to warn Pex, but it is too late. Kroagnon confronts the Doctor, who tries to force him into the trap, but fails. Kroagnon attacks the Doctor, who calls for help. Pex, witnessing the Doctor's peril and inspired by the Kang bracelet, returns, pulling the Doctor to safety. In a final act of self-sacrifice, Pex head-butts Kroagnon, sending them both into the Red Kang Headquarters, triggering the explosives and destroying Kroagnon and his Cleaners, but also sacrificing himself.

Act 3

In the aftermath of the explosion, a profound shift occurs within Paradise Towers. The disparate factions—Kangs, Rezzies, and Caretakers—gather in Fountain of Happiness Square, kneeling around a makeshift monument to Pex. Bin Liner delivers a eulogy, acknowledging Pex's ultimate bravery and declaring him a true Kang in death, a stark contrast to his earlier "cowardly cutlet" label. The Doctor observes this unprecedented assembly, noting that such unity "would never have happened before," and expresses hope that the groups will now continue to work together to rebuild their society. Fire Escape returns the Doctor's umbrella, confirming the Tardis is clear of graffiti, symbolizing a return to normalcy and respect. The Blue Kang leader and Fire Escape present the Doctor with an honorary Kang scarf, uniquely combining both blue and red colors. This gesture signifies the newly forged unity and the dissolution of the old, divisive tribal identities. The Doctor accepts the scarf with honor, offering his best wishes for the future of Paradise Towers, acknowledging the profound change Pex's sacrifice has brought about. As the Doctor and Mel prepare to depart in the Tardis, the Doctor bids farewell to the "piece of metal junk" (Kroagnon's remains), reflecting on the unpredictable nature of fate. The Tardis dematerializes, leaving behind a new piece of graffiti on the wall: "Pex Lives," a powerful testament to his enduring legacy and the hope for a truly harmonious future for the Towers, now free from Kroagnon's destructive vision and the internal strife that plagued its inhabitants.
