The camouflage bedclothes—rough linen twisted by Turlough’s hands—are used to conceal the Black Guardian’s crystal during its concealment phase before the sheets are manipulated. Their crude folds and stiffness provide both stealth and texture, hiding the crystal’s light within their coarse weave, masking Turlough’s intent from casual observation.

The clean sheets—stiff from laundry starch and clinical freshness—are violently repurposed into a crude ladder as Turlough seizes them in desperation.
