Soldiers seize the Doctor's party

The Doctor’s group crosses into a devastated trench sector on Skaro where the original soldiers have been propped up like scarecrows to mask the depleted defenses. When Sarah Jane discovers a sturdy service door Harry cautions against opening it, but the Doctor presses forward. A gas shell explodes nearby forcing the trio to scavenge respirators from the dead. Before they can flee a disparate band of ragged soldiers ambushes them and though they resist they are quickly overwhelmed. As the mud-spattered survivors resist they are taken captive. A squad in spotless black uniforms storms from the doorway and in the confusion Sarah is separated from the Doctor and Harry who are dragged inside leaving her standing alone in the trenches. The moment fractures the group’s fragile alliance and signals the escalation of danger on Skaro forcing Sarah into desperate solitary survival. "key_dialogue": [ "SOLDIER: This one's alive. Kaled Scarecrow Uniforms

The rag-tag corpses dressed in mismatched Kaled uniforms deceive the Doctor’s group into underestimating the trench’s defenses. Their staged poses mislead the travelers about the sector’s manpower and lull them into a false sense of security before the ambush and gas attack explode around them.
