Cellar Transmat Platform (School)
The humming circular platform embedded in the school cellar's concrete floor measures twelve feet across, its alloy surface scored from decades of use. A faint blue glow rings the dais when active, powered by jury-rigged school electronics the Doctor taps into without hesitation. A bundle of hair-thin, glass filaments (transmat fibre optics) cluster at the base of the platform, their ends frayed where they route into the transmat's control panel. They catch the dim cellar light with a faint iridescence, responding to the Doctor's adjustments by pulsing with microscopic flickers of blue. Its control panel, exposed wires still live from prior activations, sits cracked and sparking under his fingers as Ace's warning about damage goes unheeded. The entire unit bears the scuffs of flight crew boots and technical scavengers, yet remains the sole bridge between Earth's surface and the Dalek mothership's temporal theater.
