Horda-baited Stick

The Doctor’s ‘magician’s stick,’ a hollow wooden prop kept in his pocket, stands in for Eldrad’s true Kastrian ring. After the trap succeeds, he dramatically reveals it as the object returned, exposing the deception. Its hollowness becomes symbolic proof of Eldrad’s irreversible loss.

Calib brandishes the Horda-attached stick as a prop to demonstrate the creatures’ deadliness, hissing at the Doctor to demonstrate the Horda’s bite. The Doctor snatches it, using the weapon to redirect the warrior’s aggression, turning the Horda against its user.

Initially used by Calib to demonstrate the Horda's vicious nature, the stick becomes a weapon in the Doctor's hands when he snatches it and strikes the warrior. The Horda's biting redirects the warrior's attack, exposing the fragility of tribal constructs and the unpredictability of the creatures they worship.

The Doctor uses the Horda-stick as a weapon, redirecting the creature’s bite away from Calib and toward the hostile warrior. The stick’s deteriorating condition and the Horda’s fierce grip make the bite both powerful and unpredictable, turning Calib’s own weapon against him and exposing the peril of their manufactured trial.

The Horda-stick is snatched by the Doctor and used both as an improvised weapon against the warrior and as a psychological tool, embodying the Horda’s ferocity. The creature’s bite on Calib’s offering becomes a literal and symbolic extension of the Doctor’s disruption of tribal authority.
